Le chiodature sono un intervento passivo di stabilizzazione di scarpate e fronti di scavo in cui si “rinforza” il terreno inserendo barre d’acciaio (i chiodi) dentro fori perforati e poi iniettati con boiacca di cemento, spesso abbinando in superficie un paramento (spritz-beton/calzestruzzo proiettato con rete e piastre di testa). Si definiscono passive perché i chiodi non vengono pretensionati: entrano in gioco quando il terreno tende a deformarsi, mobilitando l’aderenza barra–boiacca–terreno e creando un ammasso rinforzato che migliora la resistenza a scorrimento/ribaltamento e riduce le deformazioni, rendendo più stabile il pendio o lo scavo (tipicamente in sequenza dall’alto verso il basso, “a fasi”, durante l’avanzamento dei lavori).

### Barre a filettatura continua
Le barre a filettatura continua (fully threaded) sono impiegate come chiodi da roccia o soil nail, con posa in foro e fissaggio tramite resine o malta cementizia. La filettatura integrale consente l’utilizzo di dadi e manicotti in qualsiasi posizione, facilitando giunzioni, regolazioni e il montaggio di piastre di ripartizione e dispositivi di pretensionamento.

### Barre cave autoperforanti
Le barre cave autoperforanti (SDA) fungono contemporaneamente da asta di perforazione e da elemento resistente. Permettono perforazione e iniezione simultanee attraverso il foro centrale, riducendo il rischio di collasso del foro in terreni sciolti, coperture detritiche o rocce fratturate e migliorando la produttività in condizioni difficili.
